The best advice I can give any solo traveler wanting to capture memories through photos is to book a photographer through Airbnb Experiences.
I’ve tried several times to take my own pictures with my phone, camera, and even a tripod. Unfortunately, I rarely get the results I’d like. I’ve also realized I feel self-conscious taking selfies in public. It took me a while to accept this about myself, but now, I don’t think twice about booking a photographer before arriving at a destination. Prices vary depending on a few factors, but I typically don’t pay more than $70 for a session.
Many photographers offer a one-hour session that may include other people. However, I’ve always been able to reserve a slot where it’s just me and the photographer. For the best chance at a solo session, try booking an early morning time slot on a weekday during the off-season.
